I am very excited to announce the third annual Hearts on Franklin 5k race this spring! We have partnered with the Children’s Fund of North Carolina to bring you this race.
The Hearts on Franklin Fundraiser is an annual fundraiser sponsored by the Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-health Honors Society at UNC Chapel Hill. The fundraiser has grown to include an annual 5k race in the spring. All proceeds go to UNC Children's Heart Center, on behalf of the Children's Fund of NC and Alpha Epsilon Delta. Donation money will be used to buy TVs, DVD players, and other items to make the patients more comfortable while they go through treatment.
The last year that we had the race, we raised over $3,500 for the fund. We hope to double that amount this year with your help!
This race will be timed and the results posted on our website a few days after the race.
Hearts on Franklin 5k Race 2010 Details
Date: April 11, 2010
Time: Packet pick-up begins at 8am on Ehringhaus Field. Race starts at 9 am.
Price: $15 if paid before April 11th, $20 on race day.
*Price includes T-shirt and food after the race.
Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers. There will also be multiple door prizes. The total value of the prizes is more than $500.
Race is rain or shine.
The race is limited to 270 participants, so make sure you sign up early to guarantee your spot!
